Currently, I already make good quality animation using ffdec, but it takes around 40 hours
for a few seconds of animation. Still, I love this software for being unique. I sincerely
ask if you could include updates aimed at making the animation a little easier
Regrettably, I am unable to disclose the results as they are subject to client
confidentiality.
FFDec is best for small edits of existing SWFs rather for creating brand new animations.
There exists option for creating new SWF, but working with such animation, adding items to
stage, etc. is still pain. The new Simple editor should make this a bit better, but it's
still far from being useful editor.
I planned to add new features to Simple editor, but it's a lot of work...
For true animation editor, it should have shapes editor like the FlashPro/Animate has, but
that is still unreachable to me.
I am aware that the "Edit points" feature in FFDec is not the best,
for example it does not contain editing of fills/linestyles.
The editor is too much SWF-internals based,
user needs to know a bit about how SWF works.
I am afraid it will never be a really "animation editor",
I am even surprised that anybody uses it for things like that :-).
I am open for any ideas of how to make editing better,
if you can be more specific of what you miss.
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee it will be implemented.
the simple editor was great compared to what I faced before, but what I would like to see
would be a "frame" editing mode within the sprite, which allows you to move/rotate any
element in the frame set, leaving the edges with a red outline for example, showing the
limits of each shape there in the sprite. If I could just move them manually I would be
happy
Your software is incredible, I'm in love with it, I've been using it for years and I've
only just come to interact with the forum
I'm from the asdec times
Wow, asdec times, that were the ages...
To your suggestion:
You can edit sprite frames with simple editor,
to open specific sprite you can either double click it on the stage,
or you can double click the sprite in the Library panel (As you would do in
FlashPro/Animate).
Then moving subitems with mouse click is possible. If you want to rotate object, you need
to switch to Transform mode by clicking on Transform tab - then transform rectangle is
visible around the selected item.
How is this different from what you are talking about?
I cannot do this on standard Resource-View sprite page since there are frames listed
vertically and user can be confused of which frames he edits since many PlaceObjects are
across more than one frame. Also on Resource-View there must be single assignment of
selected object (=PlaceObject) to hilighted item in the tag tree. I cannot hilight more
than single frame where the movieclip instance resides. (Tip: You can depress Alt key and
click to an item to select it - the placeobject - in it's starting frame)
So it will be available only on Simple-editor where there is a timeline and thus multiple
depths / frames are visible.

Ohh good, i found. But the arrow keys dont works anymore :( arrow right to advance one
frame and arrow left to back one frame) etc, It's just not being fluid, when I click on an
area the keys don't work. The truest GIF of all time haha
It would be difficult to make the last frame appear at 30% opacity in the background. to
compare positions and adjust them better?
