> What steps will reproduce the problem? When opening a file from The Open folder. And select a SWF nothing happens. > What is the expected output? What do you see instead? To be able to open the SWF in FFdec > What version of the product are you using? Is it "nightly build"? 18.1.0 (Portable) > Which operating system do you have? Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (22621.963) > Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is related to a SWF file, attach it here, otherwise we can't help you. I can't write much more. I just can't get FFDEC to load the SWF. It will at least give me the selection popup but when selected a SWF and click on Load nothing else happen. The only way to open an SWF is to drag and drop into the FFDec area. Or restart the tool and use the last used files.

I cd to the nightly build and then run java -jar ffdec.jar. Clicked on Open folder, selected a SWF. And no errors was throwing out from FFDec. So I can't really post logs.

1) What path is FFDec located in? 2) What path do you open SWFs from? 3) Does it do for all SWFs? Did you try SWF in another path? 4) Could you attach the file c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\JPEXS\FFDec\config.bin here?
admin
Also please try running from commandline following version of ffdec, it should print some info while opening swf via open menu. Let me know what it prints out.

I deleted the config.bin file and now does everything works like it should. This thread can be closed now.

Thanks for doing a private ffdec. I think there was something in the settings I had.
admin
Do you still have the config file? I'd like to know what was wrong in there. This better be fixed otherwise other users will encounter same problems in the future.
user
I no longer have this file. Sorry.
admin
ok, no problem.
