I think it would be nice to have buttons that can toggle between enable/disable subsprite animation preview, and enable/disable preview completely. This is for internal viewer showing sprites only; it doesn't make much sense for anything else. Screenshot shows a possible layout for buttons.

The two buttons were added in nightly 2209, try it.
